How I grew my traffic, and my record high so far
I have written so many posts on my opinions, experiments, and results on how to increase traffic over the last month or so. As much as I am a new blogger, I do believe that I know how to keep up a blog, increase traffic, and increase readership.
Here are my figures to prove it. January 9th, I started my blog. On January 10th, which was the first full day of traffic, I already recorded over 100 unique visitors. That average started climbing rather fast, as I implemented new methods of attracting traffic by installing new mods, joining up with new blogging networks and what not. My Technorati Ranking is at 120,xxx now, and it was at 2.4 Million a month ago. My traffic on February 20th hit 669 unique visitors and 1,568 pageviews, gobbling up 659 Megabytes of traffic all in one day. My RSS readership is at an all time high of 62 at this moment. How did I do it?
A culmination of my posts on how to improve blog traffic can be found under the category “Blog Consulting and Advice”. Here are the links to those posts that you can read up on.

All the tricks put aside, I do believe strongly in putting up good content in a diligent manner. Look at my last post regarding the Franchise Show in Vancouver, and also on the LED/TV Screen Effect on Photoshop. Think for a second, how much time I put into these posts. I do spend a significant amount of time to deliver good posts with good photos or screenshots go with it, and I put a lot of effort into my writing.
I put my real thoughts and real heart into my content, and I can come up with the smallest things to write about, such as my silly post about the most ridiculous spam email address I saw, and I wrote some rather radical yet very honest opinions about politics and celebrities, including the one about Iraq and Democracy, and Anna Nicole Smith’s death.
Remember that I’m not a professional blogger. I just started this blog as an experiment to learn the Wordpress structure and play with SEO techniques but I did get serious about it. If I can grow my traffic/RSS feeds to 6X the amount in a month and 10 days or so, you can do better. Â

Congrats on the success this month Jeff. You have been really consistent with your blog! It’s showing in the numbers.
As I say.. the quality/quantity of posts directly translates into traffic. There’s a correlation of the graphs… The one sick day I had on Feb 9th shows the drop of traffic eh?
Wow, that’s awesome. My record of unique traffic is still less then yours on Day 1.
I was even going to prove something about RSS subscribers, and I even got cocky not posting yesterday to prove a point, but it didn’t work, oh well.
Anyway, you’ve showed consistency with traffic building. And you can see real quality content here from the beginning. You have the skills to make it big time, I’m sure of it.
What do you think could happen one year from now? I think amazing things!
One year from now??? hmmmm…sky’s the limit!
Those look like pretty solid numbers. I’m going to aim to get those kind of hits and see if I can get similar numbers in terms of rankings and unique visitors. I’ll let you know how it goes!
Thanks Gary,
your first tip for me was to post every day and i abided to it.. I average over 2 posts a day.
You’re my hero
awww thanks Robb I appreciate it.
