While I will get my groceries in paper bags and drive as little as possible, I also agree that not flushing the toilet is just asinine. I don’t want my house to smell like a bottle of amonia, thank you very much.

We have strict water rules here and I have been following them. I have, though, the only dead year in the neighborhood. How many other people around me do you think are conserving water?

Re-using garbage bags? wtf? This would take a decent amount of water, plus it takes energy to run the fan, which means more carbon in the atmosphere…. I wonder we are actually be helping the environment by not doing this.

Not to mention all the other stuff you could have done to help the environment in the time it took you to save a few garbage bags.

I think I know what you’re talking about. They have something similar everywhere in Europe. Big flush for #2, small flush for #1. Still clears out all the water.

On the flushing part. You could install a pissuar or whatever the thing is called in English. You know the thing that you pee in. As when you flush a toilet the whole or half of the canister is emptied. While for the other thing whatever it was there will be less water used.

“If it’s brown flush it down, if it’s yellow let it mellow” Mmm… the smell of unfresh urine in the morning.

I totally agree with you. Most of those are over the top. Drying out garbage bags? Gross…I’m more concerned about MY health than the health of the planet if it comes to something like that.

I don’t see how owning less would create less waste. If anything, it should create more…and I like owning things. I hate the idea of communism in itself as it implies we’re all equal when we’re not. It pretty much gives no one any incentive to work hard since…well, it’s the same anyways. Fucking hippies.
