I had an iPhone already before all of you. I had it sitting in my room since late 2005. I did not even know it, but I just realized it.

Turns out there is a Canadian company who already owns the rights to the trademark iPhone in Canada. That company is Comwave, and they offer the iPhone service to all of Canada. And I am a subscriber. iPhone, under Comwave, is a VOIP service at a very cheap price.

Of course, Comwave is a smaller company still, although they do OK, from what I know. So I don’t think it will be a problem for Apple to buy out the trademark from Comwave for a pretty high price. It doesn’t even matter right now though, because the iPhone (the one by Apple Computers) is not being launched until later in USA, and when will it reach Canada? Who knows. But in any case. It’s an interesting development.
